If you're looking for a mellow, confidence-building ride that still feels like real singletrack, Tristan's Trail delivers.

This roughly 1-mile blue-rated connector starts near Leopards Loop and connects riders to the north end of Slaughter Pen near the Dog Park and the Bike Playground. The trail is rideable in both directions and carries a moderate physical rating with minimal elevation change — making it one of the more approachable trails in the Slaughter Pen network. If you ride the trail in reverse you will encounter a more sustained climb.

The riding here is smooth and flowing. You won't find big drops or technical rock gardens, but you will find a trail that rewards riders who are still building trail sense — reading lines, carrying momentum through gentle curves, and getting comfortable on natural singletrack. It's also a legitimate piece of the slaughter pen puzzle linking together the north and south ends of Slaughter Pen.

Tristan's Trail connects naturally with Red Barn, leopards Loop and Ozone, making it easy to extend your ride or cut it short by connecting back to the Razorback Greenway. The trail is a perfect example of how to choose your own adventure.
