Blowing Springs Loop | Trail Guide — Bella Vista, AR
Blowing Springs Loop — Blue / Blue-Black — Best MTB Loop
Blowing Springs isn't just a trail system — it's a park. The loop circles the Blowing Springs RV Park and campground, meaning you can camp here and roll directly onto the trail from your site. The park includes picnic areas, a large covered pavilion, caves to explore on foot, and scenery shaped by the same exposed Ozark geology the trail rides through. The natural air-conditioned cave, the overhanging bluff lines, and the spring-fed water features make this one of the most scenic riding destinations in the region regardless of skill level.
The trail system also connects to Slaughter Pen and downtown Bentonville via the Razorback Regional Greenway, making it accessible without a car if you're already staying in or near the city.

📍 Getting There
Blowing Springs Park is located in Bella Vista, Arkansas, just north of Bentonville. From US-71 northbound, turn east on Mercy Way (becomes Blowing Springs Road after the stop sign) and follow it approximately 0.5 miles to the trailhead on the right. Parking is available at the front lot before the RV Park gatehouse — start your ride near the kiosk between the large rocks.
Blowing Springs Loop (South) - Blue
The south section is where the ride begins to establish its pace. Riders start from the main parking area and work into a gradual climb before the trail opens into flowing singletrack that follows the topography of the hillside as it works its way to the back of the park. This trail is often used to connect to the Back 40 or it completes the circle around the camping and RV park via the Blowing Springs (North) trail.
There is a small concrete pump track nearby and easily accessible from the parking lot, and it is a popular destination for those looking to hone their skills on the different rollers, concrete berms and

The north side is where Blowing Springs earns its reputation. The terrain shifts noticeably — more exposed rock, gnarlier roots, and a surface that demands focus from start to finish. This section earns its blue-black rating through chunky technical rock gardens, steep rollable drops with limited alternate lines, and switchbacks that finish the loop back at the parking lot with some of the most demanding riding on the entire circuit.
The north loop also serves as a gateway trail. It connects directly to the Back 40 — one of the premier cross-country trail systems in Northwest Arkansas — as well as Bomb Diggity, making Blowing Springs a natural starting point for riders looking to build a bigger day in the saddle. Combined with the Back 40, it's one of the best link-up options in Bella Vista.

Camp at the Trailhead — RV & Tent Camping at Blowing Springs Park
One of the things that makes Blowing Springs a standout destination in Northwest Arkansas is that you don't have to drive to the trailhead — you can sleep at it. Blowing Springs Park in Bella Vista is one of the few places in the region where riders can roll out of their campsite and onto the trail in minutes, making it an ideal basecamp for a full weekend or extended riding trip.
The campground sits inside the same park the trail loops around, bordered by a spring-fed creek and the same exposed Ozark terrain that defines the riding. Whether you're pulling in with a rig or setting up a tent in the woods, this is camping with a purpose.
RV Camping
The park offers 64 full-service RV sites with 30 and 50-amp hookups, water, electric, sewer, and Wi-Fi included at every site. Big rigs are welcome and the campground operates year-round, making it one of the most practical options for riders who travel with their home on wheels. The sites are efficient and functional — this is trail-access camping, not a resort — but the location more than makes up for it. Trail access, creek access, and downtown Bentonville just a short ride away via the Razorback Greenway.
Tent Camping
For riders who prefer a more traditional setup, 11 primitive tent campsites offer a quieter, more wooded experience away from the RV area. Hot showers, restrooms, and a laundry facility are available on-site, so you're not roughing it completely. The tent area is a favorite among visiting riders who want the full outdoor experience without sacrificing convenience.
Park Amenities
Beyond the campsites themselves, Blowing Springs Park is a full destination. Two covered pavilions, each with eight picnic tables, make it an excellent spot for group rides and team gatherings. An on-site dump station, wireless internet throughout the park, and a facilities building with showers and laundry cover the practical side. From April through October, the Gear Garden activates along the bike route with food trucks, live music, and local beer — a perfect end to a day on the trail. Seasonal hiking trail access and a nearby pump track round out the experience for non-riders in your crew.
Dogs are welcome throughout the park on leash, which makes Blowing Springs one of the more pet-friendly riding destinations in the area. Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends and during peak riding season, as the campground fills quickly.
Why Base Camp at Blowing Springs?
For mountain bikers visiting Northwest Arkansas, Blowing Springs solves a real logistical problem: where do you stay that keeps you close to the trails without adding a daily commute to your ride day? Between the Blowing Springs Loop right outside your door, the Back 40 connecting directly from the north section, and the Razorback Greenway linking to Slaughter Pen and downtown Bentonville, riders based here can access more than 40 miles of world-class singletrack without loading up the car.
It's the kind of setup that turns a weekend trip into a multi-day riding adventure.
