Black Apple Creek - Slaughter Pen
Black Apple Creek - Green
Located in Slaughter Pen Trails, Black Apple Creek is a scenic, green rated trail that offers one of the most relaxing and beginner friendly rides in Bentonville.
Starting from the Razorback Regional Greenway, the trail follows the natural path of Black Apple Creek, weaving through shaded corridors and gently rolling terrain. The consistent flow and minimal elevation change make it an ideal trail for riders looking to build confidence or simply enjoy a slower paced ride.
As you move along the creek, the surrounding tree cover provides welcome shade making this a go-to option on warmer days. The highlight of the trail is the tunnel that passes beneath the NW A Street and Tiger Blvd intersection. This cool, refreshing feature not only adds a bit of fun to the ride but also serves as a unique transition point within the trail system.
After the tunnel, you have will encounter a three way fork in the trail. Black Apple Creek continues through the center of Burns Arboretum crossing the creek a couple of times. There are two Burns Arboretum trails (North & South) to choose from or link them together to form a loop.
TIP: Burns Arboretum is a great place to cool off and recharge. Kids love looking for small crawfish in the creek.
