Starting from the heart of Bentonville, this segment of All American offers one of the most accessible and versatile rides in the area. Beginning at the downtown trailhead, the trail quickly transitions from urban access to a surprisingly scenic stretch through Compton Gardens before continuing toward the Masterpiece Trailhead.

Rated green, this section is approachable for beginners but layered with features that keep it engaging for riders of all skill levels. As you wind through Compton Gardens, rocky berms add texture and variety, giving new riders a chance to build confidence while still keeping things interesting for more experienced riders.

Further along, the trail introduces a series of optional features, including wooden whale tails and wide elevated skinnies. These ride-around-friendly elements make it easy to choose your level of challenge—roll everything on your first lap, then come back ready to test your balance and control.

The trail finishes with a fun downhill section that carries you across a pedestrian bridge before flowing back toward the Razorback Regional Greenway near the Masterpiece Trailhead. Along the way, multiple connection points to the Greenway allow you to shorten or extend your ride at any time.

Winding its way toward the center of Slaughter Pen Trails, this stretch blends smooth singletrack with playful features and frequent access to the Razorback Regional Greenway.

The trail starts off relatively mellow, with flat, flowing singletrack that makes it easy to find a rhythm. Along the way, riders will encounter a mix of features including wooden berms and small bridges that add variety without increasing difficulty, keeping this section approachable for a wide range of riders.

As the trail progresses, it begins to follow the natural contours of Slaughter Pen, introducing short up-and-down segments along the hillsides. These rolling sections add just enough elevation change to keep things interesting while still maintaining the trail’s beginner-friendly feel.

The trail flows gently through the trees on a mix of smooth gravel and easy singletrack, creating a low-pressure environment perfect for learning balance, braking, and basic bike handling.

As you ride, the trail winds around an outdoor fitness area and passes several park benches, offering plenty of opportunities to take breaks or regroup—especially helpful for families riding with younger kids. The route frequently runs alongside and reconnects with the Razorback Regional Greenway, making it easy to shorten the ride or transition onto a paved path at any point.

This segment ends at the All American Skills Line, a natural progression point for riders ready to take the next step after building confidence on the trail.
